Dr. Reshma Amin is the local eye doctor to see for all of your Optometry needs in Baton Rouge, LA. Dr. Amin is a Baton Rouge native and graduate from Baton Rouge Magnet High School and Louisiana State University where she received her BS in Microbiology. She then received her doctorate in Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, IL in 2002. Dr. Amin returned home in 2003 and has been serving the Baton Rouge community ever since.

Dr. Amin enjoys all aspects of primary eye care, including treating and managing ocular disease, fitting contact lenses, and co-managing pre and post-op care. Dr. Amin has a particular interest in evaluating and treating dry eye disease. She helped establish the Dry Eye Connection, a specialty dry eye clinic within TRIO Eyecare. By incorporating the newest technologies to treat dry eye, she creates and a customized treatment plan to target each patient's symptoms, Dr. Amin has established herself as a leader in the dry eye community.

In February 2019, Dr. Amin and her husband, general manager Mitesh Amin, opened TRIO Eyecare, an independent and locally owned vision care center. They have been married for three years and have three boys, Dyllan, Pavan, and Shiv. Dr. Amin enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and dog, Zoey. She also enjoys traveling, cooking, reading and attending cultural events in the community. Dr. Amin is fluent in Spanish, Gujarati, and conversational in Hindi.

Dr. Amin believes in giving back to the community and participates in several community, hospital, and school screenings. She has also been recognized for her service in the LHCR Underserved Diabetes Project. Dr. Amin is a proud member of the Optometry Association of LA, The New Orleans Contacts Lens Society, The American Optometric Association, and Vision Source: Premier Network of Independent Optometrists.
